How the price is calculated
What is the Volara service fee and who pays it?
The service fee pays for the platform. It amounts to 20% of your contribution to the costs, to which a fixed portion may be added. It's at your expense, on top of the share paid to the pilot for the flight.
What you see before paying
The booking summary always itemises the two amounts separately: your contribution to the costs on one side, the service fee on the other. The total shown is exactly what you pay, with no surprises at the end.
What it's for
It funds the running of Volara: connecting people, secure payment and support. The pilot receives none of it.
