Fixed contribution or equal split: which mode should you choose?

It's the pilot who chooses the mode when publishing the flight. Both comply with the law and guarantee that the pilot earns nothing. They differ mainly in how flexible the bookings are and in how the price changes with the number of passengers.

The fixed contribution

The pilot sets a stable amount per seat. Several passengers can each book the same flight independently. Any seats that go unsold remain at the pilot's expense. This is the most flexible mode for opening a flight to independent bookings.

The equal split

The costs are divided between the people actually on board, so the price per person goes down when there are more of you. In return, only one booking is possible per flight and per date. This mode suits a group booking together in one go.
