Requirements to rent
PPL/LAPL with a current class rating (SEP) and an up-to-date medical certificate, verified on the platform.
A minimum of hours and recent landings is required depending on the aircraft (e.g. 3 landings in the last 90 days).
Most owners require a check flight with an instructor before the first rental — often a condition of their insurance. The requirement is shown on each aircraft page.
Each aircraft is covered by its owner’s insurance (liability + hull), which Volara verifies covers rental. Deposit pre-authorised online, excess shown before booking.
