Can I offer a cost-shared flight with a microlight?

Not for now. Cost-sharing is not open to microlights on Volara. You can, however, offer your flight with a certified aircraft.

Why microlights are excluded

The European exemption that allows cost-sharing only covers aircraft that fall under EASA. Microlights are listed in Annex I of the European regulation: they fall solely under national law, whose content on this point is not settled. Rather than rely on an unverified analogy, we prefer to wait.

If you also fly an EASA-certified, non-complex aircraft, you can absolutely offer a cost-shared flight with it today.
