Can I share the costs of an ultralight flight on Volara?

Not at the moment. Cost-sharing for ultralights is closed on Volara. Ultralights fall outside the scope of the European exception that permits cost-sharing, and we are waiting for a clear national framework before opening it.

Why ultralights are a special case

The exception that permits cost-sharing is written into a European regulation (Regulation (EU) 965/2012). It only covers aircraft under the remit of the European agency (EASA). Ultralights, by contrast, fall under national law, not this European text.

A cautious decision

Rather than build an activity on an uncertain legal analysis, we prefer to wait. As soon as a national framework is established, we will be able to reopen this option. In the meantime, you can offer your flight with a certified aircraft.
